The only establishment that still keeps this name. It is located on the main road as you enter from Spain; you will spot it right away on the right because there is a life-size cow on the facade. Enjoy!

A whim of … cheeses

This shop, 95% dedicated to cheeses, is a paradise for “cheese lovers”, where you can find specialties from different countries or regions, and even do a “tasting” of some of them.

This shop has been operating since 1971 and is currently the only one left, since until a year ago there was another one in the center of Andorra la Vella, next to the Pyrenees department store, as well as another one in Les Escaldes, but today the entire building is under renovation.

Parking is difficult, although right next to the shop there is its own garage, where you can leave your vehicle if there is any free space.

There is one cheese that always catches our attention, a cheese that is hard to find and that, in our opinion, is exquisite: the so-called Fol Epi. If you ever come across it or have the chance to try it, don’t miss the opportunity, because it is well worth it.

They also carry other “gourmet” products, such as foie gras, both duck and goose, as well as jams and preserves to accompany them.

Cheese accessories are not missing either, such as knives, cutting boards and, of course, the raclette, mainly for preparing it in winter.

If you wish, the products can be vacuum-sealed for you. Keep in mind that the advice on the cheeses and products sold comes from expert staff.

Maybe I'm the "grandfather" of blogs. I understand that they're dominated by young people, but well, I do what I can. I like all the latest developments and new technologies. I enjoy them, and perhaps I don't master them completely, but I use them. I was born in 1950, so you can work out my age (well, well, it's not that much). What you always have to keep is a young spirit. Besides computers, I like cars and driving. And as for my grandson, who was born in July 2010, I'm only 60 years older than him.

  1. Muy recomendable. siempre voy a Andorra no dejo de ir y llevarme algunos quesos. Gran selección. Probad el Gruyere y el Reblochon.

ESTUVIMOS EN EL RESTAURANTE DE ANDORRA (FRENTE A CALDEA), COMIENDO EN EL MES DE MARZO, LA ATENCIÓN FUE BUENA IGUAL QUE LA COMIDA (SERVICIO BASTANTE LENTO), LA SORPRESA VINO A LA HORA DE PAGAR, EL CAMARERO PASO NUESTRA TARJETA POR TRES VECES CONSECUTIVAS, AÑADIENDO QUE LA TARGETA NO FUNCIONABA, AL LLEGAR A NUESTRO DESTINO Y TRAS COMPROBAR LOS MOVIMIENTOS BANCARIOS, DESCUBRIMOS QUE LA CUENTA HABIA SIDO COBRADA DOS VECES, LLAMÉ DIRECTAMENTE AL ESTABLECIMIENTO, ENVIÉ UN EMAIL, EXPLICANDO LO SUCEDIDO, A DIA DE HOY Y A CASI UN MES DE LO SUCEDIDO, NI HAN CONTESTADO, NI DEVUELTO EL DINERO, NI PEDIDO DISCULPAS POR LO SUCEDIDO… NOS SALIÓ CARA LA COMIDA!!
