We are not going to talk about a cheap product, nor about a nouvelle cuisine product, nor about something that has just been discovered. We are going to talk about lobster, a shellfish typical of the Balearic Islands and especially cooked as a stew (caldereta).

The restaurant we are talking about today is almost the most famous on the island of Menorca, since well-known personalities go there and that has made it famous, although for the average person’s wallet it is a little expensive.

We have given it only one ham in our rating because we value the quality/price ratio, among other things. Of course the quality is high, but so is the price.

Expect lobster dishes to cost around 75 euros per serving. Those with European lobster (bogavante) are 65 euros, also per serving.

With only a little more than that, it comes to 100 euros per person. Even on vacation, it is a bit expensive, but…

There is one measure we use to “lower” the average price: we share the servings. That is, if there are four of us dining, we order two servings of lobster, for example, and the rest cheaper dishes, so we “lower” the price to 50 or 60 euros per person. You eat less lobster, but you can go twice. In the photograph below you can see the monkfish skewer with curry.

The second courses of fish range from 15 euros (hake a la romana, in batter) up to 25 euros (grouper or monkfish).

Bearing in mind that the desserts are homemade, you will put the finishing touch on a meal that will take you a long time to forget.

You also pay for the setting, the venue, its location two meters from the water if you are on the terrace, and its elegance in the case of the dining room. It is undoubtedly worth it, although it pays to keep an eye on the bill to avoid surprises at the end of the lunch or dinner.

It is worth it, just like the wonderful island of Menorca; you should at least get to know it, and enjoy the excellent service and attentiveness. Indisputable quality.
